You may have heard this…it’s all in the details. Well, some details can make your wedding while others can be spared. Here is a list of six tips that will create a memorable experience for you and your guests without breaking the piggy bank.

TIPS #1: REPURPOSE ITEMS When you can reuse items, it just makes sense. We help our brides all the time find ways to repurpose and save money! Pew/chair decorations can be used as cocktail table arrangements, or, if you are using our fabulous hobnail jar with a metal hanger, those can double as a small centerpiece on guest tables! Swags on your arch can come down and be used as head table decor. Garlands lining the bridal path can be laid around the cake for a magnificent display! Bridesmaid and bridal bouquets can be used on the head table for instant color and no additional cost (plus, it keeps them in a vase, upright and hydrated–very important if you want to keep them!).

TIP #2: MAKE YOUR HEAD TABLE THE FOCUS OF THE ROOM Tuscan, or family style seating, for your head table is now the norm. Why not deck this table out in gorgeous florals, garlands of lush greens and romantic candles. You can adorn the guest tables with a collection of candles, saving you money, and keep everyone’s eyes on the wedding party with a true statement piece–the head table! TIP

#3: LATE NITE BITES Everyone has heard of the signature drink for your wedding, but adding some late night snacking options is a memorable bonus for your guests as they get their grove on into the wee hours! Your guests won’t remember if they had chicken or beef for dinner, but they’ll remember the awesome sliders they had while dancing!

TIP #4: MEMORABLE PLACE SETTINGS A single sprig of seeded eucalyptus with a budding baby rose next to it adds flair and a memorable touch to each place setting. It completes the table and becomes part of a greater tablescape.

TIP #5: USABLE PARTY FAVORS Ok, the M&M’s are yummy, but who really keeps those darn party favors? Invest your money in something they will! Succulents potted in a cute pot are super trendy and useful right now! Just imagine that sitting on your guests windowsill? At one wedding we created florals for, I saw little teddy bear shaped jars of honey from a local bee keeper. Now those were memorable–it was several years ago, and look–I still remember it! Put a little more thought into your favor if you are going to spend the money and do something they will WANT to take home.

TIP #6: PRIVATE LAST DANCE Excuse all your guests for the night, and you and your spouse dance to one last song. So sentimental, and priceless.
